Re: Definitive Subdivision Plan, Parker Lane
Dear James,
On behalf of my client, William Eagan, we are requesting that the following
waiver from Chapter 801 Subdivision Regulations be added to the Definitive Subdivision
Plan approved by the Barnstable Planning Board on February 27, 2023:
801-35. L Utilities. Which reads as follow: "Location of wires. All electrical,
telephone, and other utility wires shall be placed below ground in every subdivision,
unless the board determines that such placement is not feasible or is not in the best
interest of the town." We are requesting that we be permitted to use utility poles and
overhead wires for this subdivision.
In accordance with Section 801-5 Waivers, we believe that our request for this
waiver will maintain the rural character of the area and is not inconsistent with the
Subdivision Rules and Regulations. I have attached a photo of Pilots Way showing a
utility pole to illustrate the rural character that we intend to duplicate.
