Engineering Response 02-25-23(Jaffaqhet £nqineetinq CIVIL ENGINEERING·STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING·LAND SURVEYING 4 WINDSOR DRIVE FOXBORO,MA 02035 508-543-9894 February 25,2023 Griffin Beaudoin,P.E.,Town Engineer Town of Barnstable Department of Public Works 382 Falmouth Road Hyannis,MA.02601 Re:Definitive Subdivision Plan,Parker Lane Dear Mr.Beaudoin, On behalf of the applicant,William Eagan,we are submitting the attached revised plans and calculations that address the comments and concerns outlined in your letter of review/Memorandum dated January 3,2023,our meeting with you on February 15,2023, and your memorandum dated February 24,2023.A summary of the changes are listed below: From Memorandum dated January 3,2023: General 3.A copy of the signed and recorded ANR plan has been provided to help clarify the property boundary shown on the definitive plan. 6.We are requesting a waiver from the requirement for a profile plan.We will be matching the current grades that exist on Parker Lane. Plan Comments 2.An additional "Tie Line"has been added from the southern comer of Parcel "A"to the front lot comer of Lot 2A. 4.Additional monuments have been added to the plan.A waiver has been request from the requirement to place a monument at every change in direction for Parker Lane. 11.A waiver has been requested to allow 3 to 1 side slopes for the proposed infiltration basin. Drainage Report Comments: 1.A revised Drainage report has been provided that addresses concerns expressed in the memorandum and the February 5,2023 meeting Review of Waiver Requests: 1.b.A 15"depth of gravel is specified on the plans. 2.Two additional test pits were excavated on February 22,2023.The results of all test pit data are included in the Drainage Report revised February 17,2023. From the February 24,2023 Memorandum: 1.This letter is to serve as the response. 2.An additional catch basin has been added at station 3+00. 3.A berm has been added to prevent bypass flow from entering Service Road. 4.The catch basin detail has been revised to show a "bee hive"type grate. General Revision Summary: 1.The proposed infiltration basin has been re-located to the east side of Parker Lane and it is greater than 100 feet from the existing wells. 2.The roadway has been re-designed so that stormwater now flows from west to east across the roadway 3.The proposed swale is now located on the east side of Parker Lane. 4.Additional test pits were done at the locations of the proposed infiltration basin and the proposed leaching pits. 5.The Drainage Report has been revised to take into account the effect of the entire watershed area that contributes to Parker Lane and Service Road.Watershed plans have been added to the report and analysis examines and compares existing and proposed peak rates of run off. It is our hope that this latest round of revisions has addressed the concerns of all parties involved.We look forward to meeting with the Planning Board to present the work in detail on February 27,2023.
