The seven diverse yet interconnected villages of
Barnstable form one community that is an integral part of
Cape Cod. As the town in 2010 has been shaped by its
past, through this plan Barnstable will shape a sustainable
future. The town will preserve its history, environment
and community for future generations through active
stewardship of community character and quality of life
while balancing growth, infrastructure and natural
systems.
