The structure is a rectangular, one story structure, with a brick façade and flat roof. The building was added on to in 1950 to double in size. Proposal The Applicant proposes to replace the existing projecting sign in the same location. The new sign is proposed to be 2.5’ by 2.5’. The sign will be made with a wood and metal material and have no lighting associated with it. In addition the Applicant has added a second request to replace the existing awnings with all black awnings with the logo shown. Existing Conditions 2 The Commission may wish to confirm colors proposed, and if mounting hardware will remain and reused or if new hardware is proposed. Additionally the Commission may wish to confirm no additional signage is necessary. The former tenant had multiple window signs. Brazilian Grill – 680 Main Street Background The subject property at 680 Main Street is an active restaurant. The property was originally constructed as a single family home in the mid-1800s by Captain Daniel Bacon. The property has added multiple single story additions over the years. The restaurant was permitted for signage in 2000 and the glass addition was permitted in 2011. Proposal The Applicant proposes a single story addition to the front façade. Proposed Conditions Existing Conditions 3 The Applicant has provided colored renderings of the proposed addition. The Application is missing detailed narrative and specifications as to dimensions, materials, colors, etc. A request by staff has been made for the Applicant to supplement the Application with more specification for the Commission’s consideration.
