I am writing to support the Bassetts’ solar panel proposal on 24 Second Way in Barnstable. Their array will be placed on a dormer on the front side of their garage and the back side
of the house. These locations are appropriate and necessary to maximize solar capture and minimize their panel visibility.
My husband and I are residents on 30 First Way with solar panels on the east side of our cottage. They are visible to the Bassetts through the greenery, but our project was supported
by our neighbors on First and Second Way. More and more homeowners in this area have requested and received permission to install solar panels. The Bassetts should receive permission
as well.
Solar panels can minimize the overall use of fossil fuels and benefit us all. Please affirm the Bassett proposal. Thank you for consideration of the Bassett request.
