RE: PROPOSED SOLAR PANEL PROJECT
24 SECOND WAY IN BARNSTABLE VILLA4E
We are writing to express our strong support for the solar plan project
proposed by our neighbors, Wayne and Evelyn Bassett, for their residence at
24 Second Way in Barnstable Village.
The Bassetts' solar project plans has several very important features and
considerations which we hope will be taken under serious consideration and
will result in the OKH District Committee's approval of the project:
1) The front of the house solar panel installation is not visible from Commerce
Road.
2) The height of the house would prevent anyone passing by either by foot or
car to take notice of the solar panels.
3) We understand every effort will be made to take full advantage of solar
power, and at the same time increase clean energy which the federal and
state governments are strongly recommending by providing rebates for
solar installation. Our Commonwealth for years has been strongly
encouraging solar power as evidenced by incentives it has been offering to
its citizens.
4) The solar panel project is an important economic consideration — it will
help to save money while saving our precious planet.
Thank you for taking the time to consider our strong support for the Bassett
solar power project.
