community art wall support letter

Dear Members of The Hyannis Main Street Historic Commission:
We would like to extend our full support for the community art wall proposed by Cordial Eye for the Rockland Trust Alley wall on the side of the Air and Space Museum.
It is a great idea and will enliven that alley that has issues at the momentbecause of a lack of activation. The issues make the alley not so inviting, currently showing a lot of graffiti
and often loitering.
This community wall idea is an innovative way to bring in young people to this space and make them a part of the downtown art scene.
We will certainly help monitor the wall as we consistently have Clean Team people on the street checking for clean ups.
The frame idea is a nice way to keep it contained and finished looking. I believe good lighting and educational events will also help make the area come to life.
