Please see below comments from the Waterway’s Commi ee mee ng, 04/23/24
1. The Niki Lariviere Trust, Gerald A. Kashuk, Trustee, 188 Bayshore Road, Barnstable, MA 02601,
Map 325/Parcel 85. The applicant proposes removal of the exis ng shorefront protec on and
replacing it with a properly designed short rock revetment. No work to the dock and no
dredging is proposed at this me.
Waterway’s Commi ee and Harbormaster staff was in approval of this project.
2. George and Laurie A ar, 306 Long Beach Road, Barnstable, MA, 02632, Map 185/Parcel 24. The
applicant proposes reconstruc on of the exis ng dock and extending it 13 feet, for a total of 29
feet long. The floats will be shortened to two (2) 8’x16’ floats, and the dock is proposed to be
raised up three (3) feet.
Waterway’s Commi ee and Harbormaster staff was Not in approval of this project, proposed
extension of the dock may impede naviga on.
3. Maria G. & Peter J. Smail, 339 Eel River Road, Osterville, MA, 02655, Map 115/Parcel 030. The
applicant proposes to install float piles to secure the float instead of the exis ng bracket, which
will provide more secure anchoring of the float and easier seasonal removal than the exis ng
system.
Waterway’s Commi ee and Harbormaster staff was in approval of this project.
